Zsid. 12,4 Mert még végig nem állottatok ellent, tusakodván a bûn ellen. 5 És elfeledkeztetek-é az intésrõl, a mely néktek mint fiaknak szól: Fiam, ne vesd meg az Úrnak fenyítését, se meg ne lankadj, ha õ dorgál téged; 6 Mert a kit szeret az Úr, megdorgálja, megostoroz pedig mindent, a kit fiává fogad. Zsid. 12,4 Mert a bûn ellen való harcban még nem álltatok ellen egészen a vérig, 5 és elfeledkeztetek a bátorításról, amely nektek mint fiaknak szól: „Fiam, ne vesd meg az Úr fenyítését, és ne csüggedj el, ha megfedd téged, 6 mert akit szeret az Úr, azt megfenyíti, és megostoroz mindenkit, akit fiává fogad.”

Hebrews 12,4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,

Hebrews 12,4-6 In this all-out match against sin, others have suffered far worse than you, to say nothing of what Jesus went through—all that bloodshed! So don't feel sorry for yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children, and that God regards you as his children?
My dear child, don't shrug off God's discipline,
but don't be crushed by it either.
